Sometimes you just have to name the thing and say, this is what, this is what happened. And that's a way of reclaiming your voice: using your voice to be able to say, this happened. This is what happened, and this is what happened. This is how it affected me. This is what was wrong about this situation.
I am upset about this. I am angry about this. I am hurt about this. And so for me, within that particular incident, that was something that allowed me to. To be able to regain my voice. —Ally Henny
